After it is sent
The message a person sees after sending, the copy they can be e-mailed, letting them change what they sent, and the note your team gets.
What happens once a form is sent is set in one place: select After it is sent, the last row of the builder's outline. While it is selected, the middle of the builder shows the screen the person gets after sending, so you see your words as they will.
The message
- Show a message is what a form does after every send.
- Title and Message: your words, such as "Thank you, we deliver on Thursday." Left as it is, the form shows a short line saying the response was recorded.
- Insert an answer puts one of the person's answers into the message, written in braces, such as
{Company}. Only questions outside a section of lines can be quoted; a name in braces that is no question of the form is marked, and the change waits until you fix it.
When the form has lines, the screen also lists what was sent: each line and the total. This is always shown.
Go to a page, instead of a message, is not available yet. To lead people on, add a button (below).
E-mail them a copy
Tick E-mail them a copy and choose under To the question whose answer is their address: an e-mail question, or a text question where they must type one. The copy carries your message with their answers, the lines and the total, and, when they may change it, the link to do so. It goes to the address typed in that send, never to an address stored on a customer the form found.
The question it goes to cannot be one a link fills in, or a link could choose where the copy goes.
They can change it
Under They can change it, Allowed is one of:
- Never: what is sent stays as it is.
- For 24 hours after sending.
- Until a condition: Until a field of the form's table is a value, such as until Status is Confirmed. Under What they read after that, write what they are told once it can no longer change, such as "Your order is confirmed; call us."
The screen after sending then offers to change the response and to copy the link that does it, and the e-mailed copy carries the same link. Opening it brings the form back with their answers, for them to change and save. A response can be changed at most 20 times.
Changing needs a form whose own table gets one record per send, and that asks something there besides a typed tax ID, which is never read back.
Buttons
- A button to send another response is always offered.
- Open another form: tick it and pick the Form, such as a delivery address form after an order. It lists the workspace's other forms.
Tell your team
Tick E-mail the team and write one address under To, such as your orders inbox. Each send then e-mails a note with who sent it, the answers, the lines and the total, and a link to the form's Responses, which opens after signing in. It never carries the person's own change link. The address is shown only to the form's editors.
Copies and team notes are capped per hour: see Limits that protect a public form.
Also run, to start an automation when a form is sent, is not available yet.
