AI assistants
Connect ChatGPT, Claude or Codex to Sterodata so it can answer from your records and build tables, views and pages, working as you with your permissions.
Connecting an AI assistant to Sterodata lets you work in your workspaces by describing what you want. Ask it a question and it answers from your live records. Ask it to build something and it makes the tables, views, dashboards and forms, which you then find in the app, ready to change by hand.
Sterodata works with ChatGPT, Claude and Codex, and with any assistant that supports custom connectors through MCP (Model Context Protocol, the standard assistants use to reach other services). The connector's address is:
https://api.sterodata.com/mcp
It works as you
- You connect it by signing in with your own Sterodata account and allowing it. There is no API key to create or paste.
- It can do what you can do in the app, and nothing more. If you can only view a table, so can your assistant. It cannot reach a workspace you are not a member of.
- Every request it makes goes through the same checks as the app's own screens. A refusal comes back with the app's own reason.
- What it changes is recorded under your name.
- You can disconnect it at any time, and so can your workspace's admins.

An assistant is optional. Tables, views, summaries, pages and forms can all be made in the app without one.
