These terms are the agreement between Yodly SRL ("we") and the organisation that uses Sterodata ("you"): the website sterodata.com, the app at app.sterodata.com, and its connector for AI assistants. If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it. If you use Sterodata for yourself, "you" means you.
How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
1. Who can use Sterodata
- Sterodata is built for work, and anyone 16 or older may use it. Under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms with you.
- Each account belongs to one person. Keep your password to yourself: what is done with your account, including by an AI assistant you connect, counts as done by you.
- Use an e-mail address you can receive mail at: sign-up and password codes, invitations and notices about these terms are sent to it.
2. Workspaces, members and what you publish
- The person who creates a workspace is its first Super Admin and runs it for your organisation: its admins decide who is a member, what each member and guest may see and change, and what is shared by link or form. See Access and permissions.
- A page or form you publish can be opened by everyone in the audience you choose, which may be anyone with the link. You are responsible for what you publish.
- A form you publish may collect answers from people outside your organisation. Tell them how you use their answers, and have a lawful basis for collecting them.
3. Your data
- What you and your members put into Sterodata (tables, records, files, pages, forms and their answers) is yours. You give us only the right to store, copy, process and show it as needed to provide Sterodata to you and to the people you share it with, and to keep it safe, for example in backups.
- We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
- You can export any table to CSV or Excel at any time. See Export your data.
- A deleted table, field, record or workspace waits 30 days, so it can be restored, then is deleted. Backups that still hold it expire within 35 days after that. See Deleting data.
4. Personal data we process for you
For personal data in your workspaces, you are the controller and we are your processor (Art. 28 GDPR). These terms and the privacy policy are your instructions to us. We:
- process it only to provide Sterodata and as you instruct through the app, unless the law requires otherwise;
- allow access only to people bound by confidentiality, and only as their work needs;
- protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures (see Security and your data);
- use only the sub-processors listed in the privacy policy, and update that list before a new one starts, so you can object;
- help you answer the requests of the people the data is about, and meet your own obligations as controller;
- tell you without undue delay when a personal data breach affects your workspace;
- delete the data when you delete it or your workspace, as described in section 3;
- give you the information you need to show that these obligations are met.
5. What is not allowed
- Breaking the law or other people's rights, including storing or publishing content you have no right to.
- Trying to reach workspaces or accounts that are not yours, or testing Sterodata's security without our written permission.
- Uploading malware, or using Sterodata to send spam or collect data unlawfully, through forms or otherwise.
- Loading the service far beyond normal use, including through the API or an AI assistant, or working around a limit we set.
- Storing payment card numbers, or passwords for other services, in tables.
- Reselling Sterodata, or offering it as your own service, without our written agreement.
Sterodata has no certification for regulated data, such as health data under HIPAA or card data under PCI DSS. If you keep special categories of personal data in it, such as health data, making sure you may do so is yours to do.
6. AI assistants
- An assistant you connect (such as ChatGPT or Claude) acts as you, within your own permissions, and what it does counts as done by you. You can see and disconnect it at any time under Connected assistants.
- The assistant belongs to its provider, and the provider's own terms apply to it. What it reads from Sterodata is what you or it asks for.
- An assistant's answers, and those of the AI chat inside the app, can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them.
7. Integrations
When you connect an API or a database, you confirm that you may use it and its data in this way. That service's own terms apply to it, and we are not responsible for its availability, its data, or changes it makes.
8. Availability and changes to the service
- We work to keep Sterodata available and to fix problems quickly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance or events outside our control may interrupt it.
- We improve Sterodata and change its features. If we remove a feature you depend on, or stop the service, we tell you at least 60 days before, so you can export your data.
9. Fees
Sterodata is free to use today. If we introduce paid plans, we publish their prices and tell you at least 30 days before any charge applies, and nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan.
10. Suspension and ending
- You can stop using Sterodata at any time: delete your workspaces, and ask us at contact@sterodata.com to delete your account.
- We may suspend an account or a workspace, in whole or in part, at once when that is needed to stop a security threat, a breach of section 5, or harm to others or to the service. In other cases, we first tell you what is wrong and give you a reasonable time to fix it.
- We may end these terms with you for a serious or repeated breach. Unless the law or the nature of the breach prevents it, you then have 30 days to export your data before it is deleted.
11. Intellectual property
Sterodata's software, brand, documentation and built-in apps belong to Yodly SRL or its licensors. While these terms apply, you may use them to run your organisation's work. What you build in Sterodata (your tables, pages, forms and automations) is yours. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
12. Warranty and liability
- Sterodata is provided as it is and as available, without warranties beyond those the law requires.
- Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect losses, such as lost profits, revenue or business opportunities.
- Our total liability for all claims arising in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in those 12 months and EUR 100.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any other liability the law does not allow to be limited.
- You are responsible for claims by others arising from what you publish or collect through Sterodata in breach of these terms or the law.
13. Changes to these terms
The version in force is always published here, with the date it last changed. We tell you about a material change by e-mail at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can stop using Sterodata and export your data before then; using it after the change applies means you accept it.
14. Law, disputes and contact
- These terms are governed by Romanian law. If a dispute arises, tell us first at contact@sterodata.com and we will try to settle it within 30 days. Otherwise, the competent courts of București decide.
- If you use Sterodata as a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country you live in applies, and nothing in these terms limits it. You can also contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC, anpc.ro), or refer a dispute to its alternative dispute resolution entity at reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.
- If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- These terms are written in English. If a translation differs, the English version prevails.
