Why teams choose Sterodata to run their operations
I am often asked what Sterodata is for, next to the tools a business already pays for. These are the reasons teams give for moving their day-to-day operations onto it. Each one is something you can check in the product yourself.
1. One system instead of copies
Orders, clients, payments and projects live in tables that link to each other, so an invoice knows its tenancy and an order knows its client. Everyone works from the same records, and a view or a summary is current the moment someone changes a row. There is no “final_v3” to argue about.
2. You can read who has access
Every table has a Share sheet listing each person, role and link with access, and whether they view, edit or own it. A view can leave out fields and rows, so a role can be given exactly the slice it needs and never reach the table behind it. Every published page lists who can open it, person by person.
3. Every record is signed
Each record carries who created it, who last changed it, and when, and you can filter and sort by them. A deleted table waits in the trash for 30 days, with who deleted it and when.
4. Customers and partners work through links
Price lists, order forms, request forms and portals are pages you publish to the public, to anyone with a private link, or to chosen members. Their answers land straight in your tables. Links can expire and be revoked, and your logo and colour go on everything you share.
5. Money stays exact
Amounts are decimals, exact to the cent, and each one keeps its own currency. Totals convert at the day’s ECB rates or at rates you enter. Prices copied onto an offer and rates copied onto a commission line stay as they were, whatever changes later.
6. Your own assistant builds and answers
Connect ChatGPT, Claude or Codex and describe what you need. The assistant builds tables, views, forms and pages, and answers questions from a query on your live data. It works as you: it reaches only what you can, and what it changes carries your name.
7. Nothing is locked in
Everything the assistant makes, you can change by clicking. Ready-made apps install as ordinary tables and pages that you can rework. Any table or view exports to CSV or Excel, and your data is hosted in the EU and backed up every day.
